Supplemental Regulations Subtask

Use this subtask to assign applicable supplemental regulation clauses to the contract.

You can manually enter supplemental regulation clauses, including Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses, on this subtask. You can also use the autoload function to have Costpoint automatically populate the table window with the clauses that are assigned to a specific contract.

This subtask is also updated when you use the Import FAR/Supplemental Regulation Files subtask for the Supplemental Regulation regulation type.

Load Options

If you have already assigned supplemental regulation clauses to a contract, use this group box to specify the contract from which supplemental regulation clauses will be copied, and identify the range of clauses that you want to apply to the contract record you are accessing. You can also use this group box to load only supplemental regulation clauses that are marked as Required on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen.

Field Description
Copy Supplemental Regulations from Enter, or click to select, the Contract ID from which you want to copy supplemental regulation clauses that will be loaded in the table window.
Supplemental Regulations

From the Options drop-down list, select the range of supplemental regulation clauses to be included in the autoload process. Valid options are:

  • All
  • One
  • Range
  • From Beginning
  • To End
Start Enter, or click to select, the starting supplemental regulation clause for the range you want to include. If you select All or From Beginning in the Option field, this field is inactive.
End Enter, or click to select, the ending supplemental regulation clause for the range you want to include. If you select All, One, or To End in the Option field, this field is inactive.
Load Required Rows Only Select this check box to load only supplemental regulation clauses that have the Required check box selected on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen.
Autoload Click this button to load supplemental regulation clauses for the selected range.

Table Window

Use this table window to enter and/or mark supplemental regulation clauses that apply to the contract. If you used the autoload function, you can just mark the clauses that apply to the contract, if permitted. If you want to manually add clauses, click New and enter details in each field.

Field Description
Applicable to Contract This check box is selected by default. Keep it selected if the supplemental regulation clause applies to the contract.
Agency Enter, or click to select, the agency who issued the supplemental regulation clause.
Clause Number Enter, or click to select, the supplemental regulation clause number that applies to the contract. The lookup includes only clause numbers that have the Show in Lookup check box selected on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen.
Title

This field displays the title of the supplemental regulation clause number selected as set up on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen. You can edit this title only if the Editable check box is selected for this supplemental regulation clause on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen.

If the clause number you entered does not exist in Costpoint, enter the title of the clause number in this field.

Risk Level This field defaults to the Risk Level value selected for the supplemental regulation clause number on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen, but can be edited. Valid values are High, Medium, and Low.
Subcontract Flow-down

This field defaults to the Subcontract Flow-down value selected for the supplemental regulation clause number on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen, but can be edited. Your selection determines whether the clause number from the contract (specified in the Load Options group box of the Supplemental Regulations subtask of the Manage Subcontracts screen) will flow down to the subcontract record.

Valid values are:

  • None: This option is selected by default. If you keep it selected, the clause number from the contract will not flow down to the subcontract record.
  • Optional: If you select this option, the clause number will be loaded from the contract to the subcontract record. The Applicable to Subcontract check box is automatically selected for the clause number on the Supplemental Regulations subtask of Manage Subcontracts, but you can clear it.
  • Required: If you select this option, the clause number will be loaded from the contract to the subcontract record. The Applicable to Subcontract check box is automatically selected for the clause number on the Supplemental Regulations subtask of Manage Subcontracts, and you will not be able to clear it.
  • Not Required: If you select this option, the clause number will be loaded from the contract to the subcontract record. The Applicable to Subcontract check box is clear for the clause number on the Supplemental Regulations subtask of Manage Subcontracts, but you can select it.

Description from Contract

This field displays the description of the supplemental regulation clause number as set up on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen. You can edit this description only if the Editable check box is selected for this supplemental regulation clause in Manage Supplemental Regulations Library.

If the clause number you entered does not exist in Costpoint, enter the clause description in this field.

Page No Enter the page number where the supplemental regulation clause is located within the contract.
Page Reference No Enter the reference number where the supplemental regulation clause is located within the contract for a given page.
Effective Date Enter, or click to select, the effective date of the supplemental regulation clause.
Comments Enter comments or any additional information about the supplemental regulation clause.
Notes This field defaults to the Notes entered for the supplemental regulation clause on the Manage Supplemental Regulations Library screen, but can be edited.
