Contents of the Manage Asset Maintenance Information Screen

Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Asset Maintenance Information screen.

Identification

Use the fields in this group box to enter the asset and item number of the established property record for which you wish to enter new maintenance data or review historical maintenance data.

Field Description
Asset No

For a new maintenance record, enter, or click to select, the asset number for which you want to record or view new maintenance data in this required field. Because this entry is validated, you must first have added the record on the Manage Asset Master Information screen.

To make edits to an existing maintenance record, you can use Query to select the desired record.

Item No

For a new maintenance record, enter, or click to select, the item number(s) associated with the asset numbers for which you want to record or view new maintenance data on this required field. Because this entry is validated, you must first have added the record on the Manage Asset Master Information screen.

To make edits to an existing maintenance record, you can use Query to select the desired record.

Short Desc

This field is not available for user entry.

The system automatically displays the (optional) short description from the Asset Master record, as applicable, from the Manage Asset Master Information screen in this field.

You may alternately have made edits to the short description on the Manage Asset Description Information screen and/or on the Manage Asset Master Global Changes screen, subject to security and configuration constraints. If you did not establish a short description for this record, this field is blank.

Table Window

Use the fields in this table window to enter, edit, or view maintenance data on a record-by-record basis.

Field Description
Date

Enter, or click to select, the date associated with the maintenance record in this field.

You can enter multiple rows of data associated with the same date because the system records a line sequence number "behind-the-scenes" for each row.

Maint1 (or your label)

If you designated a label for the first field in the Maintenance Labels group box of the Manage Tracking Field Labels screen, your label description displays.

It is not a system requirement that you establish a label for this field. If you did not set up a label for this field, the system automatically displays Maint1 as the label for this column in the table window.

This user-defined field can be used independently from each of the other eight user-defined maintenance data fields.

For existing records, you can edit data that displays in this field, delete existing data, or add new data to a blank field.

Note: Note: You can use this user-defined field independently from each of the other eight user-defined maintenance data fields.
Maint2 (or your label), Maint3 (or your label), Maint4 (or your label), Maint5 (or your label), Maint6 (or your label), Maint7 (or your label), Maint8 (or your label)

Please refer to the documentation for the Maint1 (or your label) field.

Maint Amt (or your label)

After the first date field, the next eight user-defined maintenance fields on this screen are designated as alphanumeric fields, in which both text and numeric entries are acceptable. This extra, ninth, field is designated as a numeric field for the purpose of recording and accumulating maintenance costs.

If you designated a label for this field in the Maintenance Labels group box of the Manage Tracking Field Labels screen , the system displays your label as the column header. It is not a system requirement that you establish a label for this field. If you did not set up a label for this field, the system automatically displays Maint Amt as the label for this column in the table window.

For existing records, you can edit data that displays in this field, delete existing data, or add new data to a blank field.

Note: Note: You can use this user-defined field independently from each of the other eight user-defined maintenance data fields.
