  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Period Subtask

Use this subtask of the Compare General Ledger Actual to Budget Activity screen to view the actual and budget information by period for the row selected on the Compare General Ledger Actual to Budget Activity screen.

Note: You specify the budgeted amounts that display on this inquiry on the Manage Organization/Account Budgets screen.

Field Description
Fiscal Year

This field displays the fiscal year from the selected row.

Account

These fields display the account number and name from the selected row.

Organization

These fields display the organization code and name from the selected row.

Table Window

Field Description
Period

This column displays the accounting period.

Period Activity

This column displays the activity amount for the period.

Period Activity Running Balance

For each period, this column displays the year-to-date activity amount through that period.

Period Hours

This field displays the actual hours for the period.

Period Hours Running Balance

For each period, this column displays the year-to-date hours through that period.

Budget Amount

This column displays the budget amount for the account and organization for the period, if a budget exists. This budget amount comes from the Manage Organization/Account Budgets screen.

Budget Amount Running Balance

For each period, this column displays the year-to-date budget amount total through that period.

Amount Variance

This column displays the difference between the period budget amount and the actual activity amount for the period.

Budget Hours

This column displays the budget hours for the account and organization for the period, if a budget exists. This budget amount comes from the Manage Organization/Account Budgets screen.

Budget Hours Running Balance

For each period, this column displays the year-to-date hours budget total through that period.

Hours Variance

This column displays the difference between the period hours budget and the actual hours for the period.

Prior Year Amount

This column displays the activity amount for the same period in the prior year.

Prior Year Amount Running Balance

For each period, this column displays the year-to-date activity amount through that period in the prior year.

Prior Year Hours

This field displays the actual hours for the same period in the prior year.

Prior Year Hours Running Balance

For each period, this column displays the year-to-date hours through that period in the prior year.
