Project Manager Dashboard

Use the Project Manager Dashboard to view high-level information of your projects' financial status, including outstanding accounts receivables, open billing details, and revenue. You can also use this dashboard to review work assignments and invoices lined up for your approval.

Through the links available on the dashparts, you can drill from the dashboard to a screen in Costpoint or Costpoint Planning, depending on the database you are accessing and if you have rights to the module where the screen resides. Costpoint Business Intelligence and Costpoint Analytics shortcut links may also be available on this dashboard if your system administrator has set up access to these applications within Costpoint.

The following are the dashparts available on the Project Manager Dashboard:

  • AR Current
  • AR Over 30 Days
  • Current Open Billing
  • Milestone Invoices for Approval
  • My Menu
  • Open Billing Over 30 Days
  • Pending Expenses
  • Projects Over x% Funding
  • Standard Bills for Approval
  • Work Assignments for Approval

Except for My Menu, all dashparts display data only for projects you have access to and the nodes below. For example, if you are a third-level project manager, you will see values at the third, fourth, and lower levels only, with everything rolled up at the top level.

Example:

Project Project Manager Amount
0100 Project Manager A
0100.01 Project Manager A
0100.01.0001 Project Manager B $30,000
0100.02.0001 Project Manager C $10,000

Project Manager A will see $40,000 for project 0100. Project Manager B will see $30,000, while Project Manager C will see $10,000 for the same top-level project, 0100.

Available Global Menu and Toolbar Items

On this dashboard, the File, Line, Options, and Process items in the Global Menu are disabled, while only the Help menu item is available. On the Global Toolbar, only the Refresh , Next Page , and Previous Page icons are available. Depending on your screen resolution, the dashparts may not fit on a single view/page, and you can use and to toggle between the pages and view the desired dashpart. If your screen resolution is 1680x1050 and the scale is 100%, you should see 8 dashparts clearly without scrolling. This is the recommended display setting. If you use any other display settings, you may see more or fewer dashparts on the screen at one time.

Note: When you open this dashboard for the first time and close it, the following message displays even if you did not make any changes on the screen: "You have unsaved changes. Select Cancel to go back and save changes or select OK to discard changes and close this application." You need to click Cancel and save the screen to avoid encountering the same issue the next time you access this dashboard.
