Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

User-defined Info Subtask

Use this subtask on the Manage Customers screen to enter the user-defined values for customer-defined labels on each customer's account. You defined the labels on the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen.

You can update this screen at any time.

The information that you enter on this screen is accessed via ad hoc reporting.

Click on the toolbar before you make additions.

User-Defined Info Table Window

Field Description
Data Type

This non-editable field displays the data type that you created on the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen.

The possible options are:

  • T (Text)
  • N (Numeric)
  • D (Date)
Labels

This non-editable field displays the labels that you created on the Manage the Customer User-Defined Labels screen.

Text Value

If the data type in this row is T (text), enter the text for the customer-defined label.

Text is required only if the Required column in this row is set to Y.

Numeric Value

If the data type for this row is N (numeric), enter a numeric value for the customer-defined label.

A value is required only if the Required column in this row is set to Y.

Date Value

If the data type in this row is D (date), enter the date for the customer-defined label.

A date is required only if the Required column in this row is set to Y.

Costpoint Validation Field

This field displays the Costpoint field that is the source for acceptable entries. The value in this field is established on the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen.

Validated Text

This field displays Y (Yes) if you created special text items for this field in the Validated Text subtask of the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen. These items are available when you click .

An N (No) in this field indicates that you did not create special values for this field.

Required

A Y in this field indicates that you must enter a value in either the Text Value, Numeric Value, or Date Value field in this table before you can save the screen.

An N in this field indicates that you are not required to enter a value before you can save the screen.

Autoload

Click this button to load user-defined label information.

OK

Click the OK button to save the entries on this screen and close the screen.
