Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Validated Text Subtask

Use the Validated Text subtask on the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen to set up valid values for each of the validated text labels. You can access this subtask only for those rows on the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen that have the Validated Text check box selected.

You must set up the labels or validated text for user-defined fields before they become available on the Manage Customer User-Defined Information screen. Although you can set them up at any time, for more complete customer information, you should set them up before you enter any customer.

Note: For each row that has the Validated Text check box selected on the Manage Customer User-Defined Labels screen, you must set up at least one valid value, or you are unable to enter anything into that row on the Manage Customer User-Defined Information screen.

Field Description
Text

Enter a valid value for the user-defined label. You can have as many different values as you need for each different validated text label.

Description

Enter an optional description for each of the valid text values. This description will be displayed with the valid text values when you click on the Manage Customer User-Defined Information screen.
