  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Transactional Currency Beginning Balances Subtask

Use this optional subtask to enter transactional currency beginning balances and their corresponding functional currency beginning balances for your Asset, Liability, and Stockholder's Equity accounts.

You can enter transactional currency beginning balances in multiple currencies for the same Fiscal Year, Account, Organization, and Project. If you enter transactional currency beginning balances, the sum of the corresponding functional currency balances must equal the functional currency beginning balance on the main screen for the selected Fiscal Year/Project/Account/Organization combination. You can also enter the functional currency as a transaction currency, if part of the balance of the project/account/organization is denominated in functional currency. These transactional currency beginning balances are used only by the Create Revaluation Entry process to revalue balance sheet accounts.

Field Description
Account

This field displays the selected account from the main screen. The adjacent field displays the account name.

Organization

This field displays the selected organization from the main screen. The adjacent field displays the organization name.

Transactional Currency Code

Enter, or click to select, a transactional currency code for the beginning balance.

Transactional Currency Name

Enter, or click to select, a transactional currency name for the beginning balance.

Beginning Balance Amount (Trans Curr)

Enter the beginning balance amount in transactional currency.

Beginning Balance Amount (Func Curr)

This field displays the remaining functional currency balance based on the beginning balance in the Transaction Posting Summary (GL_POST_SUM) table. Use this if the beginning balance for this Fiscal Year/Project/Account/Organization is denominated in only one currency. However, you can also enter the beginning balance amount in functional currency that corresponding to the transactional currency amount you entered..
