  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Materials Estimating

Use Materials Estimating to develop and maintain cost estimates for end items and proposed bills of material.

Using this module, you can fulfill the following tasks:

  • Establish and maintain proposals and link one or more Proposal Bill of Material (PBOM) to a proposal.
  • Load end item lists into a proposal by loading Project CLIN Lists or Price Catalogs from other Costpoint modules.
  • Associate multiple revisions with your proposals, with each revision associated with a unique set of end items (for instance, standard parts, goods, services, and provisional parts) and quantities.

This module also supports the use of provisional parts, which contain part data for new or proposed parts, but are stored outside the main part master.

Note: Although you can list standard and provisional parts, goods, and services on a proposal, you can include standard and/or provisional parts in a PBOM only as assemblies and components.
