Options Tab

Use this tab to enter the primary grouping, selection ranges by project and project manager, accounting period, sorting information, and various printing options.  

Use this tab after you run the Create Project Report Tables screen.

Selection Ranges

Primary Grouping

Use the fields in this group box to select options for report grouping and sorting.

Field Description
Group By

Use the drop-down list to select the primary grouping for the report. Valid options are:

  • Projects
  • Alternate Reportings
  • Owning Organizations
  • Performing Organizations
  • Accounts
  • Labor Categories

The report uses this criterion as the primary sort; you can identify secondary sorts in the Select group box.

Collate By

Use this drop-down list to select a collate option. Valid options are:

  • Owning Organizations
  • Performing Organizations
  • Project Managers
  • Project Type
  • None

Use this option to sort the report for distribution purposes. Note that this option is available only if the primary grouping selection is Project.

Projects

Use these fields to limit the projects that are included on the reports.

Field Description
Option

Use this drop-down list to select the range of projects to print. Valid options are:

  • All
  • One
  • Range
  • From Beginning
  • To End
Start

Enter, or click to select, the beginning project for the range you want to include on the report. If you select All or From Beginning in the Option field, this field is inactive.

End

Enter, or click to select, the ending project for the range you want to include on the report. If you select All or To End in the Option field, this field is inactive.

Non-Contiguous Range

Select this check box to enable the Project Non-Contiguous Ranges subtask. Use this subtask to create a customized list of projects to print on the report.

Project Managers

These fields are enabled only when you select Projects (the default selection) in the Group By field of the Primary Grouping group box.

Field Description
Option

Use the drop-down list to select the range of project managers for the selected project or range of projects to print. If you enter a project range in the From and/or To fields in the Select Project group box, the project managers assigned to these projects are listed when you use in the From and/or To fields in this group box. Valid options are:

  • All
  • One
  • Range
  • From Beginning
  • To End
Start

Enter, or click to select, the starting project manager for the range of projects to be printed. This field is enabled if All, One, Range, or To End is selected in the Option field.

End

Enter, or click to select, the ending project manager for the range of projects to be printed. This field is enabled if All, Range, or From Beginning is selected in the Option field.

Accounting Period

Use these fields to identify the period through which you would like to include data on the report.

Field Description
Option

This field always displays One.

Fiscal Year

Enter, or click the drop-down list to select, a valid fiscal year.

Period

Enter, or click the drop-down list to select, a valid period.

Subpd

Enter, or click the drop-down list to select, a valid subperiod.

Ending Date

This non-editable field displays the ending date of this subperiod.

Select

Use this group box to specify a number of secondary sorts and the order in which these sorts organize information on the report. Available check boxes are Performing Organization, Account, Labor Category, and Employee/Vendor Detail. Note that the Performing Organization, Account, and Labor Category check boxes are unavailable if you selected that same option in the Primary Grouping group box. After you select the check boxes, enter the sort order in the Sort Order fields.

Include Subtotal

Select this check box to produce a subtotal for each selected report item.

Options

Include

Use the options in this group box to select various printing options.

Field Description
Project Level __ and below

Identify the project level that you want to summarize. All project levels at and below this level are rolled up to this level for the report.

Lines With No Activity

Select this check box to include those projects that contain no activity.

Inactive Projects

Select this check box to include projects that have been set to inactive on the Manage Project User Flow.

Only Projects with Alternate Revenue Profiles

Select this check box to include only projects that have alternate revenue profiles (that is, the project, its parent project, or any of its children is in the ALT_PROJ table).

Note: This check box is available only when the Alternate Revenue Calculations database option is selected on the Corporate Settings subtask of the Configure General Ledger Settings screen.

Select Labor Category

This group box is available only if you selected the Labor Category check box in the Select group box. If you selected Labor Category in the Group By field in the Primary Grouping group box, the report is grouped by PLC.

Field Description
Project (PLC)

Select this option to print the report by Project Labor Category. 

General (GLC)

Select this option to print the report by General Labor Category.
