Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Word Templates screen.

Manage Word Templates

Use this table window to specify the application, company, and result set that make up the field definition file used in the Word template.

Field Description
Create Definition File Click to generate the CPMetadata.xml field definition file for the template. The field definition file compiles the result set data by domain, module, and application screen. Extensibility fields are also included in the file.
Note: You may want to create a new definition file to reflect new and updated fields.
Note: Use the File Download (SYMDLMGR) application to save the CPMetadata.xml file to your computer. This file is used in Word to create the template.
Company ID / Company Name Enter, or use to select, the company you want to include in the template. If you select the company in the Company ID field, the Company Name field populates with the associated name.
Application Name / Application ID Enter, or use to select, the application screen where you want the template to be available for reporting. If you select the application in the Application ID field, the Application Name field populates with the associated name.
Result Set Name / Result Set ID Enter, or use to select, the result set. If you select the result set in the Result Set ID field, the Result Set Name field populates with the associated name. The result set you select must match the result set selected in the Word template.

Word Template Files

Use this table window to add one or more Word templates to the application/result set selected in the Manage Word Templates section.

Field Description
File Location Enter, or use to select, the location to save the template. If necessary, use the File Upload Manager to create a new location.
Template Name Enter, or use to select, the name of the template.
Template Description Enter a short description that will be visible when selecting the template to process.
Sequence Enter a number that represents the order the template will display in the Print Menu.
