UDT01S

Use this screen to maintain UDT01 records in stand-alone Time & Expense installations, or in co-deployed installations, to view data that populates from directly from Costpoint.

When Time & Expense is co-deployed with Costpoint, the majority of fields on this screen populate directly from Costpoint > Accounting > General Ledger > Accounts > Manage Accounts and are display-only. Note also that UDT01 records cannot be added, copied, or deleted.

Overview

The UDT01 table is one of the most important user-defined tables in the system. Use UDT01s for General Ledger numbers or for UDT02/job numbers. Common configurations either use the UDT01 as the prime charge number by itself or as a sub number linked with UDT02s. When you use UDT01 with UDT02, you can configure the system to always require a UDT02/UDT01 combination or to sometimes allow the UDT01 by itself.

Note: When you add a new UDT01 in a stand-alone installation, subtasks are not available until you save screen entries. When the UDT01 is saved, and your Security Role has the Apply Charge Level Security check box selected, a primary administrator function is added for you.

Other Information of Note

Note the following aspects of UDT01:
  • This user-defined table is the account number. 
  • You cannot delete (stand-alone only) a UDT01 that is being used on a timesheet line.
  • The records that display depend on how your security role and functional role are set up.
