Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

UDT02 Direct Links and Wildcard Links Subtasks

Use the UDT02 Direct Links and UDT02 Wildcard Links subtasks of the Manage UDT01S to manage UDT02 links.

If Time & Expense is co-deployed with Costpoint, the Direct Links subtask is read-only and modifications must be applied directly within Costpoint.

Each subtask table displays the linked items of the current UDT01. Different column headings and data display in the table, depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links.

Note: The Direct Link or Wildcard subtasks display conditionally, depending on how link options are set on the UDT options tab of Configuration > General Controls > Configure General Settings. For example, if the UDT is configured as a direct link, the subtasks related to Wildcards do not display, or conversely, if configured as Wild Card, the Direct Links subtasks do not display.

Note: This table is not-editable when Time & Expense is co-deployed with Costpoint.
Field Description
UDT02 This column displays the currently linked UDT02s.
Description This column displays the currently linked UDT02 descriptions.

UDT02 Wildcard Links Subtask

Field Description
UDT01 The current UDT01 value is the default for this field. This is an editable field. It can contain the "%" or "_" wildcard characters.
UDT02 Enter the UDT02 that you want to link including wildcard characters. For example, enter "%123" to include all UDT02s that end in 123.
