Link Organizations Subtask

Use this subtask to specify the organizations that can use a business unit.

Query an existing record or add a new record on the main screen of Manage Opportunity Business Units to display this subtask. You can link multiple organizations to a single business unit, but you cannot link a single organization to multiple business units. To simultaneously link multiple organizations to the business unit, use wildcard options to select organizations. All linked business unit/organization combinations are stored in the BUSINESS_UNIT_ORG table. You can view them on the Business Unit/Org Links subtask.

If you are using wildcards and one or more organizations are already linked to a business unit, Costpoint links the organizations that are not yet linked to another business unit and displays a message informing that some organizations could not be linked.

Only organizations that belong to the company of the logged-in user can be linked to a business unit.

An alternative method of linking business units and organizations is by using the Business Unit/Org Links subtask (also on the Manage Opportunity Business Units screen).
