  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Copy EBOM Subtask

Use this subtask to copy an Engineering Bills of Material (EBOM) from another assembly part/revision. Access this subtask by clicking the Copy EBOM link on the MBOM Components subtask. This subtask is disabled if component lines already exist for the assembly part.

If the Action Code in the main screen is Change and you use this subtask, the EBOM components will populate the table window, but the Action Code for each component line will be blank. If the Action Code in the main screen is Add, Replace, New Rev, or Obsolete, the Action Code for each component line will be Add.

Note:

When you copy component lines from an EBOM to an MBOM, only standard parts are copied. Any provisional component lines existing in the EBOM that is being copied are excluded.

Assembly Part to Copy

Field Description
Part

Enter, or click select, the assembly part from which you want to copy component parts.

Rev

Enter, or click to select, the assembly part revision from which you want to copy component parts.

Part Lookup Type

From the drop-down list, select the type of the parts that will be shown when you click in the Part and Rev fields. Valid options are:

  • Standard
  • Provisional
As-of Date

Enter, or click to select, the as-of effective date of the BOM for which you want to pull components. Only those components that are effective as of this date will be copied.

Description

This field displays the part description.

Configuration

Enter, or click to select, the EBOM configuration for which you want to pull components. If you make an entry, only those components valid for the specified configuration will be included. This field is hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs check box on the Configure Bills of Material Settings screen in Costpoint Bills of Material.

Copy All Components

Click this button to copy all components from another EBOM

Copy In Effectivity Components

Click this button to copy all components that are in effectivity from another part.
