Migrate Contract Management Activities Toolkit

Use this toolkit to migrate data from the old activities table to the new activities tables in the CRM & Contracts domain.

You can run a report to determine any data issues prior to actually moving the data. Use this log to review the records and then make necessary changes to the records so they can be included in the migration.

You have the option to delete valid records from the old table once data are migrated. This is recommended to ensure that records are not duplicated on screens with activity records.

Also, to avoid data duplication, the migration process can be run only once. Costpoint displays the following message when migration has been run and you open this toolkit: "The migration process has already been performed."

This toolkit moves data from the CT_ACTIVITIES table to the CT_ACTV_MASTER and CT_ACTV_RESOURCES tables. Migrated records are also loaded on the Manage Activities screen and, depending on the record type, on the Activities subtask of the following screens:

  • Manage Opportunities
  • Opportunities Quick View
  • Manage Contracts
  • Manage Subcontracts
  • Manage Leads and Contacts

If you have not migrated activity data and you open the Manage Activities screen or the Activities subtask, Costpoint displays a message informing you to migrate the old records so you can access them on those screens.

Note: Records on the Activities subtask of the Manage Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) screen will remain in the CT_ACTIVITIES table. These will not be included in the migration process.
