Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

UDT01S Direct and Wildcard Links Subtasks

In stand-alone Time & Expense installations, use the UDT01S Direct and Wildcard Links Subtasks of the UDT07S screen to manage UDT01 links.

UDT01 Direct Links Subtask

Note that linking of UDT 01 and UDT07 (link 17) is not supported in co-deployed systems, so the Direct and Wildcard subtasks for this link do not display.

Note: The Direct Link or Wildcard subtasks display conditionally, depending on how link options are set on the UDT options tab of Configuration > General Controls > Configure General Settings. For example, if the UDT is configured as a direct link, the subtasks related to Wildcards do not display, or conversely, if configured as Wild Card, the Direct Links subtasks do not display.
Note: This table does not display if Time & Expense is co-deployed with Costpoint.
Field Description
UDT01 This column displays the currently linked UDT01s.
UDT07 Description This column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.
Rate 1 This column displays the rate 1 value for the currently linked UDT01s. The column displays based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box for Rate 1 in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen.
Rate 2 This column displays the rate 2 value for the currently linked UDT01s. The column will display based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box for Rate 2 in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen.

UDT01 Wildcard Links Subtask

Note: This table does not display if Time & Expense is co-deployed with Costpoint.
Field Description
UDT01 This column displays the currently linked UDT01s.
UDT07 Description This column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.
Rate 1 This field displays in stand-alone installations only.

This column displays the rate 1 value for the currently linked UDT01s. The column displays based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box for Rate 1 in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen.

Rate 2

This field displays in stand-alone installations only.

This column displays the rate 2 value for the currently linked UDT01s. The column will display based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box for Rate 2 in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen.
Options Click Options to see additional wildcard examples.

Override

This subtask displays if you are calculating one or both of the rate fields. This is based on the Use and Label values in the User-Defined Rates group box in the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen. See Concept Topic: Labor Costing for more detail.

Field Description
Rate 1 Enter the rate 1 rate that you wish to use for this UDT02 link. This field is available if you are calculating Rate 1. The range is -99999999.99999 to 99999999.99999.
Rate 2 Enter the rate 2 rate that you wish to use for this UDT02 link. This field is available if you are calculating Rate 2. The range is -99999999.99999 to 99999999.99999.
UDT02 Enter the UDT02 that you want to link to. (You may include wildcard characters. For example, enter %123 to include all UDT02s that end in 123. Select Options for more examples.)
UDT07 Description The description defaults from the UDT07. You can edit this field to make it specific for this link.
