Screen Fields

Supervisors can use the Resource Work Schedules screen to add, edit, and delete work schedule codes. Work schedules define workdays, non-workdays, and holidays.

Supervisors can use this screen to accomplish the following tasks:

  • View current, past, or future employee work schedules
  • Update employee work schedules
  • Request or schedule leave for employees
  • Approve or reject employee leave requests

For companies that select the option to generate timesheets for groups of employees, the Generate Timesheet utility uses employee work schedules to determine an employee's work days and total work hours, vacation days, and holidays for the timesheet period.

Access to and functions within the Work Schedule screen are determined by rights assigned for your security role and functional role, and by the schedule rights set up for your timesheet class.

Location

To display the form, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Time and Expense module, click Time > Timesheets > Resource Work Schedule.

Criteria

Field Description
Employee ID Click to select the resource.
Last Name Enter the employee's last name.
Active This field defaults to Yes to filter only for active employees. To change it, select either All or No from the drop-down list.
Functional Role Click to select the functional role.
Work Schedule Date Click to select the month/week/year you want to display. If you change the date, click to update the table.
Sort By You can sort results by either Last Name or Employee ID. Select the desired filter from the drop-down list.

Employee Work Schedule Table

Field Description
Resource This field displays the name of the resource.
Day/Date The work schedule of the selected individual displays per day. Refer to the legend for color coding information.
Edit Day Use this subtask to edit properties for a particular date. These properties apply to that date only and so do not recur in subsequent weeks. You can also use this subtask to request leave for the employee.
Edit Daily Schedule Use this subtask to edit properties for days of the week in the employee's schedule.
Leave Balances The Leave Balances subtask shows the number of hours of leave available for the selected employee as of the current date, for each leave type.
