Contracts Subtask

Use this subtask to associate additional contracts to the subcontract.

You specify the primary contract in the Contract ID field in the Prime Contract Information group box on the General tab of the Manage Subcontracts screen. You can then use this subtask to link the subcontract to more contracts that may or may not exist in your Costpoint database.

Click New to add a new line.

Field Description
Costpoint Contract Select the option to indicate if the contract is a Costpoint contract or not. Valid values are Y and N.
Contract ID

Enter, or click to select, the contract ID that you want to link to the subcontract.

If Costpoint Contract is Y, after you enter or select a Costpoint contract ID, Costpoint automatically populates the other fields with values for that contract. You will not be able to modify the values automatically loaded in those fields.

If Costpoint Contract is N, manually enter a contract ID in this field and in all the other fields on this subtask. Note that even if lookup is enabled in this field, the lookup displays no records if Costpoint Contract is N.

For both Costpoint and non-Costpoint contracts, once you save the record, the contract ID displays as a hyperlink that you can click to open the Manage Contracts screen. For a Costpoint contract, the screen opens with existing values for that contract. For a non-Costpoint contract, the screen displays a blank record that you can fill in with details for that contract.

Contract Name

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the name of the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter the contract name. Note that even if lookup is enabled in this field, the lookup displays no records if Costpoint Contract is N.

Prime Contract No

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Prime Contract No associated with the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter the prime contract number associated with the contract.

Contract Status

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Contract Status value for the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter, or click to select, the contract status.

Contract Type

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Contract Type value for the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter, or click to select, the contract type.

Anticipated Contract Value

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Anticipated Contract Value amount for the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter the anticipated contract value for the contract.

Contract Award Date

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Contract Award Date value for the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter, or click to select, the date on which the contract was awarded.

Contract Start Date

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Contract Start Date value for the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter, or click to select, the contract start date.

Contract End Date

For a Costpoint contract, this defaults from the Contract End Date value for the contract as entered in Manage Contracts.

For a non-Costpoint contract, enter, or click to select, the contract end date.
