Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Sorting Lines on Timesheets

You can change the order of the lines on your timesheet.

On the left pane of your timesheet, each of the labels at the top of a column is a hyperlink. Click the hyperlink to sort the timesheet lines in order by that column's contents. For example, if one of your columns contains project numbers, click that column's label to sort all timesheet lines in project number order, from lowest to highest.

The resulting timesheet line order will be reflected in the Revision Explanation and Revision Audit dialog boxes and on your printed timesheet and any timesheet-related reports.

It will be saved when you save the timesheet and will remain in effect on the timesheet screen until you change it again.

If you are using Project, Account, or Org abbreviations, sorting will be based on the abbreviations, rather than the ID numbers.

Sorting Rules

This is what happens when you sort by specific columns:

  • Charge Description — If you sort by Charge Description, your results depend on whether you are linking UDT02 and UDT01:
    •  If you are linking UDT02 and UDT01, the timesheet lines are first sorted by Charge Description, then by UDT02, then by line number.
    • If you are not linking UDT02 and UDT01, the timesheet lines are first sorted by Charge Description, then by UDT01, then by line number.
  • UDT01 — If you sort by UDT01 and are linking UDT02 and UDT01 the timesheet lines are first sorted by UDT01 and then by UDT02, then by line number.
  • UDT02 — If you sort by UDT02 and are linking UDT02 and UDT01, the timesheet lines ares first sorted by UDT02, then UDT01, then by line number.
  • UDT hyperlink other than UDT02 or UDT01:
    • If you select a UDT hyperlink other than UDT02 or UDT01 and you are linking UDT02 and UDT01, the timesheet lines are sorted first by the selected UDT, then by UDT02, then UDT01, then line number.
    • If you select a UDT hyperlink other than UDT02 or UDT01 and you are not linking UDT02 and UDT01, the timesheet lines are sorted first by the selected UDT, then by UDT01, then by line number.
