MO Subtask
Use this subtask to view and update details of the manufacturing order referenced in the selected MPS action message row on the main screen.
You cannot modify values on this screen for closed or completed manufacturing orders, or if you did not select the Action Message Screen-Allow MO Maintenance check box on the Configure Material Requirements Planning Settings screen.

Part |
This field displays the ID for the part on the selected action message on the main screen. |
Rev |
This field displays the part revision number. |
Description |
This field displays the part description. |
U/M |
This field displays the part's default or inventory unit of measure. |
Message |
This field displays the action message suggested for the manufacturing (for example, Cancel Order, Reschedule Order, or Decrease Qty.) |
MO |
This field displays the manufacturing order ID from the selected MPS action message. |
Type |
This field displays the type of the manufacturing order (for example, Standard, Rework, or Customer Repair). |
Inventory Abbrev |
This field displays the inventory abbreviation code to which the MO build parts are being allocated to when completed. The name of the inventory abbreviation displays in the adjacent unlabeled field. |
Project |
This field displays the project ID linked to the inventory abbreviation to which the MO build parts are allocated. The project name displays in the field to the right. |

Status |
Select the current status of the manufacturing order. Options are:

Warehouse |
This field displays the ID of the warehouse in which the MO is being built. |
Planner |
This field displays ID of the planner responsible for this MO. |
Supervisor |
This field displays the ID of the supervisor assigned the MO. |
MO Quantities

Suggested Open |
This field displays the open quantity suggested by MPS. |
Open |
This field displays the quantity yet to be completed for the given inventory abbreviation allocation. |
Open Yield |
This field displays the quantity yet to be completed against the MO for the given inventory abbreviation allocation. It includes anticipated yield losses. This field displays only if you selected the Incl Scrap/Yield % in Planning Process check box on the Configure Production Control Settings screen. |
Allocation |
Enter the MO quantity that will be built and allocated to the associated inventory abbreviation. |
Completed |
This field displays the quantity that was built and relieved against the MO for the given inventory abbreviation allocation. |
MO Dates
Field | Description |

Due |
Enter, or click to select, the date on which the MO is due to be completed. Modifying this date also updates the Planned Available date. |
Planned Release |
Enter, or click to select, the date on which the date is planned for release to the stockroom for component picking. This field does not display if the MO status is Released or In Shop. |
Planned In Shop |
Enter, or click to select, the date on which the MO is planned to be delivered to the shop floor. This field does not display if the MO status is In-Shop. |
Planned Available |
This field displays the date on which the parts built with the MO will be available. Costpoint calculates this value by adding the part's manufacturing stocking lead time to the due date. |
Suggested Due |
This field displays the MO due date suggested by the MPS process. Costpoint calculates this value by subtracting the manufacturing stocking lead time from the need date. |
Suggested Release |
This field displays the release to the stockroom date suggested by the MPS process. Costpoint calculates this value by subtracting the manufacturing picking, manufacturing, manufacturing inspection, and manufacturing stocking lead times from the need date of the requirement. |
Suggested In Shop |
This field displays the date suggested by the MPS process for delivery to the manufacturing order to the shop floor. Costpoint calculates this value by subtracting the manufacturing, manufacturing inspection, and manufacturing stocking lead times from the need date of the requirement. |
Need |
This field displays the date on which the MO must be completed according to MPS requirements. |
