Use this screen to create a release from a blanket purchase order (PO). You must already have established the blanket PO on the Manage Purchase Orders screen.
This screen has the following tabs:
Details - Use this tab to view buyer, vendor, and change order information for the blanket purchase order and release.
Restrictions - Use this tab to view the blanket purchase order restrictions and totals.
Security Requirements - Use this tab to enter the security requirements of any resources that are used for the purchase order.
When you open the screen, a search criteria screen displays for you to select a blanket PO.
This field displays the Blanket PO from which the release will be created.
This field displays the type of PO from which the release will be created.
Line numbers associated with the blanket lines display in this field and cannot be modified.
If you have selected the Copy All Blanket Lines check box, this check box is selected. You can select this check box to allow this line item to be copied to the release.
This field loads the value from the PO blanket line and can be modified if the Restrict Release Items to Items on Blanket drop-down list in the Blanket Info tab of the Manage Purchase Orders screen is No.
This field displays the revision that is associated with this item.
This field displays the item description.
This field is visible only if the Use Part Data Security Controls check box is selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen, which indicates that the item is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the item you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that item:
Unrestricted - The item is not subject to data security restrictions.
Restricted - The item is subject to data security restrictions and that you are authorized to access detailed part information.
***UNAUTHORIZED*** - The item is subject to data security restrictions and you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color.
This field is enabled only if the item on the PO line is subject to data security restrictions, as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
If enabled, this field displays one of the following values to indicate whether the item you are accessing is subject to part data security restrictions and whether you have the necessary authorization to access information for that item:
Unrestricted - The item is not subject to data security restrictions.
Restricted - The item is subject to data security restrictions and that you are authorized to access detailed part information.
***UNAUTHORIZED*** - The item art is subject to data security restrictions and that you are not authorized to access or view part information. This value is displayed in red background color.
This non-editable field displays the line type. The values can be:
P - The line type is for parts.
G - This line type is for goods.
S - This line type is for services.
M - This line type is for miscellaneous items.
Enter, or click to select, a valid miscellaneous charge type, as applicable.
This field is only accessible when the Item field is left blank and the Line Type field displays M.
You must have established the type in the Manage Line Charge Types screen.
This non-editable field displays the purchase order line status. This data defaults from the Status field in the Header tab of the Manage Purchase Orders screen.
This field can display any of the following system-defined options:
Closed - This status indicates that you have closed this line and no further processing will occur.
Open - This status is the system default and is specific to standard purchase orders.
Pending - This status indicates that there are lines pending approval that cannot be received or invoiced against until their line status has been changed to Open. You cannot have Pending lines unless the entire purchase order has a Pending status.
Void - This status indicates that there are lines that have been voided, and no processing will occur; in addition, there have not been any receipts entered for these lines. This will allow the system to indicate that a quantity was ordered but was later cancelled.
System Closed - This status indicates that the system closed this purchase order because it has been fully received or vouchered if quantities are not entered.
These fields display information from the Manage Purchase Orders screen.
This field displays the blanket quantity that has not been released and is system-calculated.
Enter the quantity to be released for this item.
This field displays information from the PO blanket line which you can modify if you select No in the Do Not Exceed Blanket Gross Unit Cost on Rel Line drop-down list in the Blanket Info tab of the Manage Purchase Orders screen.
This field displays information from the PO blanket line which you can modify. Changing this value will cause the Net Unit Cost field to be recalculated.
This field displays information from the PO blanket line and can be modified. Changing this value will cause the Volume Discount field to be recalculated.
This field displays the blanket amount that has not been released and is system-calculated.
If this is an amount-only blanket line, enter the amount of this release.
The due date from the blanket PO displays here which you can modify. Enter, or click to select, a due date.
The original due date from the blanket PO displays here which you can modify. Enter, or click to select, a date.
The desired date from the blanket PO displays here. Enter, or click to select, a different date.
If selected, this check box indicates that there are multiple delivery schedules that exist for the PO line. This check box is cleared and disabled for new lines.
These fields display information from the blanket PO and can be modified.
This field displays the gross unit cost from the blanket PO. It is displayed in your company's functional currency.
This field displays the net unit cost from the blanket PO. It is displayed in your company's functional currency.
The amount of this blanket PO that has been released displays in this field in your company's functional currency.
The amount of this blanket PO that has not yet been released displays in this field in your company's functional currency.
This check box indicates whether or not there is at least one row in the Resources subtask for the corresponding PO line. This check box is selected if one or more resources exist in the subtask. This check box is cleared if no resource exists in the subtask.
Select this check box to indicate whether the resource requires US citizenship.
Select this check box to indicate whether the resource must be authorized for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restricted items.
Enter, or click to select, the security clearance required for the resources associated with this purchase order.
This displays the description of the security clearance that the resource associated with the purchase order needs to have.
This displays the level of security clearance that the resource associated with the purchase order needs to have. This field indicates whether the level is Top Secret and Secret.
Enter the name of the agency that issued the security clearance.
This check box indicates the security clearance that the resource associated with the PO has been cleared for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). This is cleared if the security clearance selected has no SCI selected.
This check box indicates the security clearance that the resource associated with the PO has been cleared for Special Access Program (SAP). This is cleared if the security clearance selected has no SAP selected.
This field displays the business size. Valid options are:
Large
Small
Non-profit
Foreign/Other
This field defaults from the Default Size group box option assigned for this vendor in the vendor classification on the Manage Vendors screen. This field is modifiable.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created. HUBZone is a United States Small Business Administration (SBA) program for small companies that operate and employ people in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZones).
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.
This check box indicates that the vendor met this classification when the PO line was created.

From the drop-down list, select the action you want to take. For a new release where the line is not yet ready for the supplier, the Action field defaults to blank. The buyer can later change this to Pending Supplier Acknowledgment when it is ready. If the buyer leaves the Action field blank, this can be changed on the Manage Purchase Orders or on the Expedite Purchase Orders screen.
Enter any free-form text to communicate to the supplier.
For new releases, if the PO total amount is greater than or equal to the DPAS Rating Print Threshold (Func Curr) amount, then this check box is automatically selected and disabled for the released PO;, otherwise, it defaults to the value of the same check box in Configure Purchase Order Print Options, but remains editable for PO lines in the generated released PO.
This field displays the DPAS rating for the PO. This rating defaults from the DPAS rating of the Project ID entered on the PO line. If multiple accounts with different projects and DPAS ratings exist, they will all be displayed in a comma-separated list.
